About Phil

A life built on purpose, authority, and character.

Pastor Phil Jackson has served on the front lines of urban youth ministry since 1987, dedicating his life to interrupting the cycle of violence in Chicago's North Lawndale community through the power of the arts and faith.

In 2003, he planted The House Covenant Church — a Christ-centered, hip-hop worship service that was featured on BET, PBS, MSNBC, The New York Times, and more. In 2006, he founded The Firehouse Community Arts Center, a converted 100-year-old Chicago firehouse that has become a beacon of safety and creativity for youth across the city.

He is also a published author, motivational speaker, professor, and recipient of the 2023 Leaders for a New Chicago Award.
